Enterprise ETL System Upgrade

During the summer of 2009 Sequoia Services Group was picked as the sole vendor to handle the migration of a Legacy SQL Server 7.0 production system consisting of 16 databases with several million records of data, over 100 DTS business intelligence packages and numerous database jobs and data management steps. Hand in hand with UCLA's IT personnel we stabilized the system in a Virtual Machine environment followed by a migration to SQL Server 2005 (SSIS) , The project was completed on time and on budget in spite of several challenges presented by the SQL Server 7.0 DTS packages. In some cases extensive re-writes were necessary in the more current Integration Services technology.
